Look out for signs of mold. If you see any green mold, white fuzzy mold, or darkish black places (mildew) on the mushroom, usually do not try to eat it. Don’t stress if you see blue staining—That is frequent in Psilocybe mushrooms and an indicator that the mushrooms contain psilocybin. As wonderful as dried mushrooms are, they aren’t great.
